Duke transfer, safety Jeremy Cash, was denied eligibility this season after Cash decided to transfer from Ohio State when Urban Meyer took over. Why the kid wouldn't want to develop under Meyer is beyond me, but isn't the point of this rant.
The fact Ohio State refused to release Cash is ridiculous, and the NCAA ruling in OSU's favor is insanity. These people are so out of touch with college athletics. Not only is OSU ineligible for postseason play due to the Tressel era, but a new coach just took over. Like it or not, whose coaching at your school plays a huge role in commitments. These commitments should be voided once a coach is fired or decides to leave for greener pastures. If coaches aren't held to their commitments, why should 18 and 19 year olds be obligated to do so?
Time to get a grip Mark Emmert...
