Penn Sate Sanctions

In order to avoid the perception of avoiding the issue of the NCAA sanctions on Penn State, I’d like to provide the following statement:
Before I determined if I wanted to weigh in on the NCAA sanctions I read through the Freeh report, skimmed the Sandusky deposition, read through and watched the NCAA announcement, and listened to the national writers and analysts.  With all this I think it’s not my place to discuss the sanctions.  Those that are close to me know my stance and I would be happy to discuss those in private.  I’ll allow those that are paid to offer their opinions handle that, but I feel that it detracts from what’s really important – the victims – that they gain whatever assistance, support, and/or closure that they can and need.
I hope that everyone, in discussing these sanctions, and the questions that now loom over Penn State, don’t forget that they are all secondary to the victims and their families.
