Against the norm...

Quick, who has the unique field in college football?  I bet most of you yelled “Boise State!”  The smurf turf may be the most recognizable, but not any longer.  Colored turf may have been in vogue a few years ago, but now?  Now, it’s patterns.  Check out these latest playing surfaces:

The trend setter: Boise State – “Smurf Turf”

My personal favorite: Eastern Washington – “Roos Field”

Probably the ugliest: Central Arkansas - "Estes Stadium”
New kid on the block: Lindenwood University - "Harlen C. Hunter Stadium”
This was floating around for a bit:  Maryland – “Byrd Stadium”
Let's throw some basketball in to the mix: Oregon - "Matthew Knight Arena”
