Here we go! Last week's 7-3 record brings me even at 52-52 for the season! Time to get that winning record now. Who's ready to win some money?
This week doesn't have as many key matchups as last week, but there are still some big games and upset specials. A&M finally found defense in a win last week at Mississippi State, but there isn't much hope for them to shut down the Tide' in Tuscaloosa. But who really knows? This would be the perfect week for a let down game after Alabama's come back in Death Valley.
How legit is Oregon State? Well, they showed last week they are to compete for the season and can make a statement today with a big win against a physical Stanford team. They'll need the confidence off a win like this heading into the Civil War. Let's take a look at picks for week 11.
Note: Picks are in bold.
Arkansas (+14.5) at #12 South Carolina (-14.5)
I went back at forth with this one and ended up picking the Gamecocks. Arkansas has continued struggling after loosing to Ole Miss and squeaking out a win at home versus Tulsa. Nothing would indicate they could turn this around against the talented Gamecocks defense. Lattimore is out with another brutal knee injury, but the offense should still put up points on this atrocious razorback defense.
Iowa State (+10.5) at #19 Texas (-10.5)
Texas looked like a different team last week and I'm going out on a limb in trusting the Longhorns defense. A big win against the explosive Texas Tech team, and on an emotional weekend, I'm taking the Longhorns big here.
#3 Kansas State (-7.5) at TCU (+7.5)
Colin Klein should be healthy!
#11 Louisville (-2.5) at Syracuse (+2.5)
Teddy Bridgewater is killing it! I'll take a field goal victory.
Arizona State (+9.5) at #21 USC (-9.5)
Arizona State is really not good. USC was able to tear apart the "improved" Oregon defense, so they shouldn't have a problem with the Sun Devils.
#13 Oregon State (+5.5) at #16 Stanford (-5.5)
Oregon State showed they can win when dinged up. They should be a bit healthier and have the QB situation figured out. I'll take the points against a Stanford team that has been up and down.
Penn State (+7.5) at #18 Nebraska (-7.5)
Like last week, does anyone know who will win the Big Ten? Penn State is much better than everyone thought, but not thaaat good.
#15 Texas A&M (+13.5) at #1 Alabama (-13.5)
Alabama showed they weren't perfect last week. Give me Johnny Football and the points.
#6 Georgia (-15.5) at Auburn (+15.5)
Do I need to explain?
#22 Mississippi State (+14.5) at #9 LSU (-14.5)
The confidence that Zach Mettenberger exuded in the Alabama game will carry over this week. Mississippi State can't compete on either line of scrimmage and the Tigers roll in Death Valley.
