What a great line from one of the funniest movies made! But seriously, let's talk about that Pitt game last night. I missed almost all of it, but from what I read through recaps, box scores, and analyses, Pitt looked utterly awful, AGAIN!
I think figured out why! The "River City Rivalry" game between Cincinnati and Pitt each season has a whopping 95 lb trophy. Paul Chryst and the Panthers said "Hell no! We won't be lugging that back to Pittsburgh." They sandbagged it last night! The trophy just wasn't worth it, and I don't think I can blame them, that's a bit excessive. What ever happened to the little plastic trophies we used to get for little league? Isn't that good enough?
Seeing Pitt lose in awful fashion for a second week in a row is a great way to start a college football season!
